Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to CEL PIP and its mock exams, AI scoring, learning dashboards, invitation codes, membership subscriptions, and referral features.

1. Using the service

You may use CEL PIP only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. We may update features, pricing, study tools, score displays, and access rules at any time.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for activity under your account.
  • You must not share accounts, impersonate another person, or attempt to bypass access restrictions.
  • We may require account verification, username changes, or security checks to protect the platform.

3. Memberships, trials, and billing

  • Paid memberships are billed through Stripe under the pricing shown at checkout.
  • Free-trial eligibility may be limited by account, device, billing profile, Stripe customer history, or abuse signals. CEL PIP may refuse repeated or suspicious trial attempts.
  • You authorize recurring billing if you start a subscription unless the checkout flow states otherwise.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription from the CEL PIP account membership page at progress-account.html, which opens the Stripe customer portal when available.
  • Under current CEL PIP product policy, subscription-based full access stops immediately when a cancellation request is recorded, even if Stripe still shows time remaining in the current trial or billing period.
  • Subscription access may also end, pause, or be reduced when a subscription expires, fails payment, is refunded, is disputed, or is otherwise no longer valid.
  • We may grant short grace periods after certain failed payments, but grace periods are optional operational rules, not guaranteed rights.
  • Price changes apply prospectively only. If we change recurring pricing, we will give notice before the new price applies to a future renewal, such as by email to your account email address or by a clear notice in your account or checkout flow.

4. Invitation codes and manual activation

  • Invitation codes may activate or extend access for the account that redeems them.
  • CEL PIP may set duration, AI quotas, remaining balance, and other limits per code or per batch.
  • We may reject, freeze, expire, or reverse codes if we detect abuse, fraud, or administrative error.

5. Referrals and rewards

  • A referred account may bind to only one referrer, and that binding may become permanent once recorded.
  • Referral rewards apply only when CEL PIP determines that the first qualifying paid subscription succeeded.
  • Self-referrals, duplicate referrals, recycled accounts, or other manipulative behavior are prohibited.
  • We may place referrals into review, deny rewards, freeze related access, cap monthly rewards, or reverse rewards after refunds, disputes, or suspicious payment patterns.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Attempt to interfere with the website, reverse engineer protected flows, scrape protected content at scale, or bypass rate limits or access controls.
  • Use the service to commit fraud, evade billing rules, exploit trials, or manipulate referrals or invite systems.
  • Upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content, or content you do not have the right to submit.

7. AI scoring disclaimer

AI-generated feedback is provided for practice and self-study. It is not official CELPIP scoring, not professional advice, and not a promise of exam performance.

8. Intellectual property

CEL PIP, the website layout, software, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the service for personal learning purposes only unless we expressly allow otherwise.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, limit, freeze, or terminate access if we believe an account violates these Terms, presents payment or security risk, abuses trials or referrals, or threatens the reliability of the platform.

10. Refunds, disputes, and reversals

  • Except where required by law, subscription fees and access fees are generally non-refundable once access, trial eligibility, or paid service has been granted.
  • If you believe there was a duplicate charge, billing error, or unauthorized billing issue, contact [email protected] promptly so we can review it.
  • Approved refunds, billing disputes, and chargebacks are handled subject to applicable law and Stripe processing rules.
  • If a payment is refunded, reversed, or disputed, CEL PIP may revoke related access, referral rewards, free-trial eligibility, or extension benefits that depended on that payment.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you and CEL PIP agree that courts located in Toronto, Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to proceed elsewhere.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

CEL PIP is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or any specific learning outcome.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be announced by email to your account email address, by a prominent notice inside your account, or by a notice at this URL before or when the updated Terms take effect. By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms posted at this URL.
